Your own authenticator app
Open Settings, the Account tab, and press Security under Two-step sign-in. Set up an authenticator app shows a QR code and a setup key for an app on your phone; type the 6-digit code the app shows to turn two-step sign-in on. From then on the code is asked for after your password, Google or an email code. Anyone can do this, in an agency or in their own account.
Requiring it for the whole agency
On the same page, the card for your agency has Require two-step sign-in. Only the owner can press it, and a code from the owner’s own app is asked for first. Members without an app are asked to set one up the next time they open the agency; their own accounts are not affected. Stop requiring it turns the rule off, and members who already use two-step sign-in keep it. Everyone else in the agency sees whether it is required.
Asked for whatever the setting
Adding or changing a landlord client’s bank details, and downloading a payment file on Payments, need a code from the app in that session, even when the agency does not require two-step sign-in. Both are for the owner and admins.
A lost phone
There are no backup codes, so Add a backup app on a second device, or in a password manager that shows codes, is the quickest way back in. Without one, email hello@letcompliance.com from the address you sign in with: once the request has been checked, two-step sign-in is taken off the account so you can sign in and set it up again.
