01Is there a free plan?
Yes. LetCompliance is free forever for a single property, with no card required. The free plan keeps the core compliance on track: a live 0 to 100 compliance score, Gas Safety / EICR / EPC certificate tracking, the email reminder ladder, a Right to Rent checklist and secure document storage. Every new account also starts with 14 days of full access to everything, then settles onto the free plan if you don't subscribe. Premium features (a second property and beyond, rent tracking and Direct Debit collection, the finance and expenses tracker, the SA105 + MTD tax toolkit, e-signature, the Section 8/13 drafters, the lettings funnel and the AI advisor) unlock on Solo from £14.99/mo.
02How does the 14-day free trial work?
Create an account and you get full access for 14 days, no card required. When the trial ends you keep the free plan for one property automatically, or choose a paid plan and pay through Stripe to unlock more properties and the premium tools.
03Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page, with no cancellation fees. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Monthly plans aren't part-refunded for the remaining month; annual plans are refunded pro-rata for the unused months.
04Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade any time from the Billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing date.
05What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation so you can reactivate if you change your mind. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted.
06Is annual billing available?
Yes — switch to annual billing on the pricing page or during checkout using the Monthly / Yearly toggle. Real percentage savings vs monthly: Solo £143.88/yr (save 20% vs £179.88), Portfolio £152/yr (save 33% vs £228), Professional £392/yr (save 33% vs £588). The Agency plan is £1,290/yr (save 17% vs £1,548). Cancel anytime — annual is refunded pro-rata via the Stripe portal.
07Do you offer plans for letting agents?
Yes. An agency with a team or client money belongs on our dedicated Agency plan: one flat £129/mo (or £1,290/yr — save 17%) for unlimited branches, seats and managed properties, with per-branch permissions and a branch-vs-branch breakdown, the full compliance + tax + RRA 2025 toolkit, role-based access, landlord-client onboarding and Client Money Protection reconciliation, plus a 14-day free trial. If you're a solo or just-starting agent without a team yet, you can begin on Professional (£49, unlimited properties) and move up to the Agency plan once you need team seats, per-branch reporting and Client Money Protection. 08What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. No cash, bank transfer or invoice available at this time.
09I only have 1 property — is this still worth it?
Honest answer: yes, if you self-manage. A single missed Gas Safety check is a £6,000 fine; a lapsed EICR can reach £30,000. Solo at £14.99/mo (£143.88/yr billed annually) tracks both with reminders 90 / 30 / 14 / 7 / 1 days out, plus the SA105 tax pack that saves most one-property landlords an hour or two on filing day. If you only need a date reminder, a spreadsheet is fine — if you want court-ready evidence the day something goes wrong, this is the cheaper insurance.
10Can I import properties from my spreadsheet or another tool?
Yes. The /properties/import flow takes a CSV with address, postcode, tenant name, rent and certificate dates — the column matcher is forgiving. Most landlords are fully set up in under 20 minutes including uploading existing certificates. Moving from Property Hawk, Arthur, Landlord Vision or a custom sheet? Send us your file through our contact page at letcompliance.com/contact and we will map it for you.
11Can I export a compliance pack for a council, lender or insurer in one click?
Yes. Every paid plan includes the PDF compliance pack: one dated download that merges a summary, compliance table, optional score snapshots from past exports, and your uploaded certificates (within fair size limits). It is built for council-style evidence requests and BTL lender pack enquiries. Always check each page against your originals; it is not legal advice. We also include a Tax & HMRC toolkit (SA105 Tax Pack, Section 24 calculator, MTD quarterly summary and mileage log) so filing day takes minutes — but LetCompliance does not submit returns directly to HMRC; use your accountant or an HMRC-recognised MTD product for the final submission.
