Returns & refunds

This covers physical products bought from Landlord essentials. It sits alongside our Terms and Privacy Policy, and nothing here affects your legal rights.

Your 14-day right to change your mind

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you can cancel a shop order for any reason within 14 days — the period starts the day after you receive the goods. You do not need to give a reason.

To cancel, email us at letcomplianceuk@gmail.com with your order details before the 14 days are up. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.

How your refund works

  • We refund the full price of the goods plus the standard delivery charge you paid. (If you chose a faster, more expensive delivery, we only refund the standard cost.)
  • We issue the refund within 14 days of getting the goods back, or of you showing proof you have sent them — whichever is sooner. It goes to the card you paid with.
  • You pay the cost of returning the goods, unless they are faulty or not as described.
  • You can handle the goods as you would in a shop, but if their value is reduced by more than that (for example, an item used beyond checking it), we may deduct that reduction.

Faulty, damaged or not as described

This is separate from changing your mind. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described you have 30 days to reject it for a full refund. After 30 days we will offer a repair or replacement. Email letcomplianceuk@gmail.com and we will sort it — you will not be out of pocket for returning a faulty item.

Safety products (such as alarms and detectors): if one arrives faulty, stop using it and contact us immediately — do not rely on it until it is replaced.

Goods that cannot be cancelled or returned

The 14-day change-of-mind right does not apply to:

  • custom-made or clearly personalised items;
  • sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons, once they have been unsealed;
  • goods that were sealed for safety and have been unsealed;
  • perishable goods, or goods that deteriorate quickly.

This exception does not apply when an item is faulty — your rights above still stand in that case.

How to reach us
