Yes. LetCompliance is free forever for a single property, with no card required and no time limit. The free plan keeps the core compliance on track: a live 0 to 100 compliance score, Gas Safety, EICR and EPC certificate tracking, the email reminder ladder, a Right to Rent checklist and secure document storage. There is no catch and it does not expire.
What is the catch with free landlord software?
There is no catch on the free plan for one property. The way LetCompliance makes money is the paid plans: if you add a second property, or want automatic rent collection, the SA105 tax toolkit, e-signature, the Section 8/13 notice drafters or the lettings funnel, you upgrade to a paid plan from £14.99/mo. One rental on the core compliance features stays free.
How does the 14-day free trial fit with the free plan?
Every new account starts with 14 days of full access to everything, every premium feature, with no card. When the 14 days end you are not locked out and you do not lose your data: the account simply settles onto the free plan for one property. You only pay if you choose to keep the premium tools or manage more than one property.
Is the free plan good for a landlord with one property?
Yes. A single missed Gas Safety check can mean a £6,000 fine and a lapsed EICR can reach £30,000, so a free tool that tracks both with reminders is genuine protection for a one-property landlord. If you later want the tax pack, rent collection or to add more doors, you can upgrade in one click, but you are never forced to.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. You can create your account and use the free plan, and the 14-day full trial, without entering any card details. A card is only needed if and when you choose a paid plan.
Can I add more than one property on the free plan?
The free plan covers one property. To manage more, upgrade to Solo (up to 3 properties, £14.99/mo), Portfolio (up to 10) or Professional (unlimited). Your existing data carries straight over when you upgrade.
