Tags
A tag is your own label, such as a town, a lender or For sale. Make the first one from the Tags button in the bulk actions of the properties table, which puts it on every property you selected, or press tags on a property’s Edit page. Manage tags renames or deletes a tag: deleting one takes it off every property carrying it and changes nothing else. Up to 100 tags can be kept.
Grouping the properties table
Group by town, postcode district, tag, legal owner, property type or let status. Property type is house, flat, HMO or commercial, and a home whose kind was not recorded is listed as such. Let status is let, notice given or no current tenant. Legal owner is you in your own account, or the landlord client in an agency workspace, followed by any joint landlords recorded on the property. In your own account a property held by a company sits under the company name entered on it, and one marked as not in your tax return stands apart, as its owner is not recorded.
A property with two tags appears under each, and a note under the table says the groups added together then count it more than once.
The tenants page
Tenants can be grouped by property, tag, rent status (in arrears, on Direct Debit, paid up, no rent recorded, or a past tenancy) or tenancy, by what is recorded on it, such as notice given, a leaving date or none, and filtered by tag.
Saved views
Save the filters, grouping and sort you use on the properties page or the tenants page as a named view, then open it again from Views. Each page keeps up to 30. Deleting a view deletes only the view.
Elsewhere
The list on the rent page, certificate renewals and the dashboard calendar can be narrowed to one tag. The figures at the top of the rent page still cover every property.
Limits
Tags and saved views stay in the account or workspace they were made in, so moving properties between your own account and an agency workspace does not carry them.
