Turning it on
In Settings, add a UK mobile number starting 07 and choose SMS, or Both for an email and a text every time. A single text then confirms that reminders are on for that number.
What comes by text
Rent due and overdue, certificate expiry, the deposit protection deadline, HMO licence renewal, pet requests and mortgage dates, each as one short message. The sender shows as LetComplian, because a sender name can be at most 11 characters.
Limits
- UK mobiles only. Any other number gets email
- Up to three numbers per account
- Tenants never receive texts from LetCompliance, and no text is ever sent to sell you something
On the free plan
Everything arrives by email. A UK mobile given when you sign up gets one welcome text and nothing more until you choose a paid plan.
