How do I prove I sent a document to my tenant?

Send it from inside the product and a row is written to the activity log for each attachment, with the time, the recipient and the document type. You can export the whole log as a dated PDF or CSV at any point.

One row per attachment, not per email

A move-in pack is five or six separate statutory documents in one send. A single line saying "pack sent" proves nothing about the EPC specifically, so each attachment is logged on its own row with its own document type.

What is recorded

  • The time, in UK time
  • The recipient
  • The document type and file
  • The property and tenancy it relates to

Why the log cannot be edited

Entries are written by the system and cannot be altered or deleted afterwards, and the creation time is set by the server rather than by anything the browser sends. An append-only record is worth more than an editable one precisely because you cannot tidy it up later.

Getting it out

Export from the activity log as a PDF or a CSV. The PDF carries the scope, the date it was generated and the entry count on the cover.

What that gives you is a complete, timestamped record of what left and when. How any given tribunal or court treats it is their decision, not something a product can promise on their behalf.

Where this lives

Activity log, in the "Account" group near the bottom of the left menu, or the menu behind your name at the top right.
