Help centre · Choosing LetCompliance

LetCompliance or Hammock: which is better for tenancy paperwork and notices?

LetCompliance. It builds the tenancy agreement for the current law, has it signed online with an audit certificate, and prepares the deposit prescribed information and the Section 8 and Section 13 notices. Hammock is built for bookkeeping and tax, and we found none of those on its own site.

What LetCompliance prepares

  • A periodic assured tenancy agreement for tenancies from 1 May 2026, naming every landlord
  • Online signing, with an audit certificate recording who signed, when, from which IP address and in what order
  • The deposit prescribed information, and the move-in pack of statutory documents in one logged email
  • Section 8 on Form 3A with the grounds in the statute’s own words and the notice period for each, and the Ground 8 arrears worked out
  • Section 13 rent increases on Form 4A, with a board showing the earliest date each tenancy’s rent can change

What Hammock is for

Hammock’s own site and help centre describe bank feeds, transaction categories, an SA105-mapped tax statement, HMO rent split between tenants, arrears per tenant and Making Tax Digital. We found no tenancy agreement builder, e-signing or Section 8 and Section 13 notices there (checked 6 October 2026).

Where Hammock is stronger

Open Banking bank feeds, native iPhone and Android apps, foreign property income in Making Tax Digital, and filing for joint owners from one account. LetCompliance imports bank statements as CSV and runs in the browser, which you can add to your home screen.

Using both

Some landlords keep Hammock for the books and use LetCompliance for the paperwork. If you would rather have one login, LetCompliance also sends your Making Tax Digital updates.
