Where it is kept
The database and file storage are hosted by Supabase in Frankfurt, in the EU. Personal data moving from the UK to the EEA is covered by the UK Government’s data adequacy regulations for the EEA. The application’s server functions run in Frankfurt too.
Who can see it
Each account’s records are separated in the database itself, so one landlord’s tenants are never visible to another. Tenants see only their own tenancy through their portal link. Anyone you give an accountant link or a read-only seat sees what that link or seat allows, and cannot change anything.
A record of what happened
The activity log records each action with the property it touched and the time. Entries are written by the server only and cannot be edited, and the log can be exported as CSV or PDF.
Payments
Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by LetCompliance. Rent collected by Direct Debit goes into your own Stripe account and never passes through LetCompliance.
Leaving
Download a copy of your data from Reports at any time. To leave completely, delete the account yourself in Settings and it is removed there and then, apart from billing records the law requires to be kept.
