What HMRC’s list shows
Arthur Online does not appear on HMRC’s software finder for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. Xero does (checked 6 October 2026).
The route Arthur describes
Arthur’s own article on Making Tax Digital says it integrates directly with Xero. On Arthur’s price list, the Xero integration set-up is from £234 and a Xero subscription £24 a month, both plus VAT. The quarterly updates are then sent from Xero.
What HMRC’s list shows for LetCompliance
Quarterly updates and the tax return for UK property income, a free version, and ready for users with vision, hearing, motor and cognitive accessibility needs. The updates are built from the same records that run the let, with nothing to connect.
Which to choose
If you want Making Tax Digital in the same place as the tenancy and the rent, with nothing extra to buy, LetCompliance sends the updates itself, free for one property and from £7.99 a month with everything else.
