What the recognition covers
LetCompliance is individual software for UK property income. It keeps your income and expenses in the cumulative shape HMRC expects, sends each quarterly update when you press send, never on its own, and handles the year end. The final declaration can be sent from here when UK property is the only income you need to add yourself.
What it does not cover
Self-employment, foreign property and partnership income, and filing for clients as an agent. If you have savings interest, dividends or other income to add, the MTD page tells you to finalise that year with software that can add it.
How to check it yourself
Search for LetCompliance in HMRC’s list of software compatible with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax on GOV.UK. The MTD mark on our pages carries the reference D3V9KL.
On that listing (checked 6 October 2026), HMRC shows LetCompliance as ready for quarterly updates and the tax return for UK property income, as having a free version, and as ready for users with vision, hearing, motor and cognitive accessibility needs.
What it costs
Making Tax Digital is in every plan from £7.99 a month, and free for one property while it is the only property in the account.
When it starts for you
It depends on your qualifying income: gross rent plus any self-employment turnover. Over £50,000 brings you in from 6 April 2026, over £30,000 from 6 April 2027 and over £20,000 from 6 April 2028. Quarterly updates are due on 7 August, 7 November, 7 February and 7 May.
