Is LetCompliance cheaper than OpenRent?

For running a let over a year, yes. On OpenRent, creating the tenancy with Rent Now is £79 and Rent Collection £10 a month, £199 in the first year. LetCompliance Single is £7.99 a month, £95.88 a year, with the agreement, e-signing and Direct Debit rent. Advertise on OpenRent for free and run the let here.

OpenRent’s prices

From OpenRent’s own pages, checked on 6 October 2026:

  • An advert on OpenRent: free. A package for its partner sites: £29 including VAT, for four months
  • Rent Now, which creates the tenancy and the agreement and holds the deposit: £79 including VAT, once per tenancy
  • Rent Collection: £10 a month, and only for landlords who used Rent Now
  • Referencing: £30 a reference

One let over a year

  • OpenRent: £79 plus £120 of Rent Collection, £199, before referencing
  • LetCompliance Single: £95.88, or £76.70 paid yearly, before referencing from £19.99

LetCompliance includes the tenancy agreement and online signing, rent by Direct Debit with no commission, certificate reminders, repairs and the Section 8 and Section 13 notices. Stripe charges its own capped fee on each Direct Debit.

What OpenRent gives you that LetCompliance does not

Reach. OpenRent’s advert is free and its package puts the property on partner sites. LetCompliance gives you an advert page you own, with applications and viewings, but does not post to the big portals. OpenRent also holds the deposit and protects it with mydeposits.

Which to choose

Many landlords find the tenant on OpenRent and run the tenancy in LetCompliance, which costs less than OpenRent’s tenancy and collection fees over a year.
