Help centre · Choosing LetCompliance

Can I use OpenRent and LetCompliance together?

Yes, and many landlords do: find the tenant on OpenRent, then run the tenancy in LetCompliance. If OpenRent created the tenancy with Rent Now, record its dates, rent and deposit here and keep its agreement; otherwise build the agreement and take the rent by Direct Debit in LetCompliance.

If you only advertise on OpenRent

Advertise there, and put your LetCompliance apply link in the advert text. Applications, viewings, referencing, the tenancy agreement and online signing then happen in LetCompliance, and the rent can come by Direct Debit into your own account with no commission.

If OpenRent created the tenancy with Rent Now

OpenRent prepares the agreement and holds the deposit, protected with mydeposits (checked 6 October 2026). Do not sign a second agreement. In LetCompliance, record the tenancy dates, the rent and the deposit with its scheme and reference, and upload OpenRent’s signed agreement, so the reminders and the compliance score are right.

The rent

OpenRent’s Rent Collection is £10 a month and its help centre says tenants pay by bank transfer, usually a standing order. If you collect through LetCompliance instead, the tenant confirms a Direct Debit mandate and each payment posts to the ledger. Use one or the other, so nobody pays twice.

After the move-in

Certificates, repairs, inspections, rent increases on Form 4A, Section 8 notices and Making Tax Digital all run in LetCompliance whichever way the tenant was found.
