Step 1: take your records out
Landlord Studio’s pricing page lists data export as PDF only on MTD Go, and CSV and PDF on Pro and Pro Plus (checked 6 October 2026). Export your transactions for this tax year and the last, and keep the PDFs of anything already sent to HMRC.
Step 2: bring the portfolio in
Open Properties, choose Import and upload a CSV: one row per tenant, or per room for an HMO, with the address, town and postcode, and rent, deposit and certificate dates if you have them. Import the same sheet again later and it updates what is there.
Step 3: this tax year’s money
Import your bank statements as CSV. Each line is matched to rent or an expense, or becomes a new entry, and nothing is recorded until you confirm.
Step 4: Making Tax Digital
Updates are cumulative: each one restates the tax year since 6 April. Make sure the whole year so far is in LetCompliance, then connect HMRC and send from the MTD page.
What does not come across
Bank feeds and the Xero link stay with Landlord Studio. LetCompliance matches statements you upload, and exports a Xero-ready CSV for your accountant.
